| Background: | Rod and Lorraine McDonald are two Albertans who first visited Prince Edward Island in 2007. They immediately felt a sense of connection and appreciation for everything 'Island' and have returned on several occasions since their initial visit. Both Rod and Lorraine are strong proponents of post-secondary education. They are graduates of the University of Alberta and have five children who are also university educated, one of whom holds a Master of Arts degree.
In support of their appreciation for post-secondary education and their affection for Prince Edward Island and its citizens, Rod and Lorraine McDonald have established The McDonald Family Master in Island Studies Graduate Scholarship at the University of Prince Edward Island. |
