Description:	Awarded to an Honours student in Psychology, and selected by the Department, who demonstrates exceptional creativity in the Honours thesis. The award is not necessarily granted every year.
Process:	Recommendation from the Department of Psychology
Background:	Dr. Hung-Min Chiang came to Prince Edward Island from Taiwan, with his family in 1967. Dr. Chiang was a student of Abraham Maslow. He taught psychology at Prince of Wales College and the University of Prince Edward Island until he retired in 1991. Several years after his retirement, Dr. Chiang wrote the book about the experiences of Chinese settlers on Prince Edward Island called Chinese Islanders: Making a Home in the New World. He is a lover of nature, and remembered as a favorite professor by many students. This award was created to honour Dr. Chiang's work, and Dr. Chiang has since made contributions to the award fund to allow it to continue.
