The Public Archives and Records Office of Prince Edward Island (PARO) acquires, preserves, and makes available for public research the records of the government of this province and private-sector papers and records deemed to be of lasting historical value. As well as textual materials such as correspondence files, journals, and newspapers, holdings are rich in materials in other formats and media such as phot
ographs, maps, architectural drawings, film, and sound recordings. The Archives provides service to students, historians, genealogists, government officials and interested members of the public. |
