| Background: | The Tsang Family Scholarship is established at the University of Prince Edward Island to support and encourage students in the Arts and Sciences.
As a token of his appreciation to the people of his adopted country, and to reciprocate the generosity of the people of PEI, this scholarship is established at the University of Prince Edward Island by Mr. Alfred Tsang, Class of 1960, SDU, to commemorate the arrival of the first four Asian students from Hong Kong in 1956 to attend St. Dunstan's University.
Presented annually at Deans Honours and Awards night, this scholarship is awarded to a deserving full-time student who has demonstrated academic excellence, exemplary moral character and extracurricular leadership, and who is not already receiving a scholarship of $1000 or more. |
