Honourable McLure, Lena's father, was a well-known Member of Parliament for the constituency of Queens having been elected in 1930, 1945, and 1949. He served three terms in the PEI Legislature in the 1920s. He also had been a teacher, active in the fox industry, president of the Guardian Publishing Company and a director of the Charlottetown Exhibition Association. |
