Claude & Dr. Bernice Bell Award Awarded to a full-time student(s) enrolled in the Music program. The recipient(s) of the award shall have exceptional musical ability and/or potential. The successful candidate will receive the award annually for the four years of study. Renewal of the award is contingent upon maintenance of the passing average. Eleanor Reesor Wheler Music Scholarship Awarded to a first-year piano, string, or flute Major upon entrance into the Bachelor of Music program. The recipient will demonstrate a high standard of performance and the potential for substantial growth in the Bachelor of Music program. Florence Simmons Music Award Awarded to an organ student who has demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the craft and artistry or organ-playing, and whose overall progress is deemed most meritorious based on the recommendation of the organ instructor. If there are no qualified organ students, the Award may go to a pianist. $500.00 Arts Music
