Accessibility Services
Students with a variety of special needs and disabilities can access support and services to help them succeed at UPEI. These students are encouraged to contact Student Services at least three months prior to the start of the semester. Students with special needs are also encouraged to visit accessibility services.

Students who have a Learning Disability
One of UPEI's priorities is to assist students who have a diagnosed learning disability. We can provide individual consultations with qualified professional academic support. Learning strategies instruction, tutoring, advocacy, and access to state-of-the-art adaptive technology are available. Contact the Co-ordinator early in the application process.

Tutoring Service
Need help with a difficult subject? A tutoring service will match you up with a senior student who can assist you through the tough parts. There is a nominal fee for this service.

Effective Reading Program
This is an intensive six-week program designed to improve reading speed, comprehension, vocabulary, concentration, retention, and skimming and scanning techniques.

Study Skills
We offer assistance with effective study tips to help you through those tough courses. Individual assistance and group programs are available.
