International Student Support

Welcoming the arrival of international students at UPEI is an exciting time for everyone. However, that excitement and novelty goes hand in hand with the stress of adapting to a whole new country and culture. At UPEI, we welcome the richness of diversity that international students bring to our campus. We also know that international students sometimes need extra support. That’s why, in addition to the help available to all our students, we have an International Student Advisement office, with two  International Student Advisors (ISAs), as well as two International Student Ambassadors who are here to assist with the needs of their fellow international students.
The ISAs are often the first point of contact for our international students. In addition to organizing International Student Orientation (which all international students are encouraged to attend), the ISAs can be a useful resource in navigating the legal, academic, and cultural challenges of life as a student in a new country. You can e-mail the International Student Advisors to establish contact before you arrive at UPEI.

You can also check out the International Student Connections "Buddy" Program. For further information regarding arrival, accommodations, and pick-up at the airport as well as opportunities for off-campus work opportunities, follow the links.
